INTRODUCTION
Osmani & Company Private Limited (OCL) is one of the
oldest, largest and most reputed consultancy organizations
of Pakistan. Established in 1960 at Karachi, OCL has grown
from a small group of Architects and Engineers to a large
organization with projects spread throughout Pakistan and
abroad.
Since 1960 onwards, OCL has successfully
provided innovative, safe and economical designs and services
to more than 4000 satisfied clients. Our clientele range
include satisfied first-time Home Owners, Private Entrepreneurs,
Industrial Giants, Small to Large Corporations, Government
Departments & Ministries, Armed Forces, and International
Agencies: The World Bank (IDA), UNDP, UNCHS (Habitat) &
Asian Development Bank.
BACKGROUND
Mr. Inam Ahmed Osmani, a gold medallist graduate of the
year 1956 of NED Engineering College, Karachi, Pakistan
(now NED University of Engineering and Technology), established
the firm Osmani & Company in 1960 with the purpose of
providing consultancy services to government as well as
to private clients, in the field of Civil Engineering, Architecture
and Planning.
Under his dynamic leadership and professional
excellence, Osmani & Company successfully completed
major projects of national importance. The firm designed
and supervised a number of Industrial Projects, Housing
Colonies, Multipurpose Buildings, Health Care Facilities
and Residential Dwellings. The sphere of services of the
firm expanded in the 1960s and in 1971 the firm was converted
into a limited company.
Mr. Osmani has been a pioneer in the field
of Consulting Engineering in Pakistan and is one of the
leading figures of Pakistan’s Engineering Community.
The past and recent honors that he has attained start from
his selection for a German Government Scholarship in 1958.
He has been an active figure in engineering and architectural
fields being the President, Institution of Engineers Pakistan
(IEP), Secretary General of federation of Institutions of
Engineering of South and Central Asia (FIESCA), Secretary
General Federation of Architects and Engineers Pakistan;
Chairman Karachi Centre of Institution of Engineers Pakistan
(IEP); Vice President (Civil) of IEP; Member Executive Committee
of Pakistan Engineering Council (1987-88 and 1995-97).
